Stay in Sunderland

Our two properties are ideal for short letting in Sunderland

Our 2 properties, situated on the coast near Sunderland are ideal for visiting the North East. The area previously thrived on coal mining and shipbuilding, but these industries have now closed.

Millview is our 2 bedroomed house. It is 3 and a half miles north of Sunderland, just outside the village of Whitburn. It is next to the windmill and only a quarter of a mile from the previous site of Whitburn Colliery. This land is now the property of the National Trust and incorporates Souter Point lighthouse. The high limestone cliffs are alive to the sounds of thousands of sea birds and the coast is very popular for bird watching. The seaside resort of Seaburn is a 10 minute walk south through the village or a 20 minute walk along the cliffs. (Further Information about Millview).

Our other property Topcliff is a 2 bedroomed apartment. It is within half a mile of Sunderland town centre, built on the banks of the River Wear where shipyards once thrived. It is on the coastal path that leads from the River Tyne, 7 miles away to Sunderland’s Stadium of Light. Topcliff is very close to the Marina and the National Glass Centre and a short walk to the pier and Roker beach. There are restaurants and public houses serving food near by. (Further Information about Topcliff).
